"Naruto, Vol. 9" is the ninth installment of the popular manga series by Masashi Kishimoto. The story continues to follow the young ninja Naruto Uzumaki and his friends as they face new challenges and enemies in their quest to become powerful ninja.

In this volume, Naruto and his team are tasked with retrieving a rogue ninja named Gato's bridge builder, who has been kidnapped by Zabuza's former apprentice, Haku. However, they must also face Haku's incredible abilities and his deep connection to their own teammate, Sasuke.

Meanwhile, Sasuke's desire for power leads him down a dark path, as he seeks out Orochimaru and begins training under him. However, he soon realizes the terrible cost of this decision and the danger that Orochimaru poses.

As the story unfolds, new enemies and allies are introduced, including the powerful ninja named Tsunade, who may hold the key to healing Sasuke's cursed seal. The characters face intense battles and must make difficult choices that will shape their futures.

Filled with heart-pumping action, emotional depth, and intricate plot twists, "Naruto, Vol. 9" is a thrilling addition to the series. It showcases the growth and development of the characters and sets the stage for even more epic adventures to come.

Author/artist Masashi Kishimoto was born in 1974 in rural Okayama Prefecture, Japan. Like many kids, he was first inspired to become a manga artist in elementary school when he read Dragon Ball. After spending time in art college, he won the Hop Step Award for new manga artists with his story Karakuri. After considering various genres for his next project, Kishimoto decided on a story steeped in traditional Japanese culture. His first version of Naruto, drawn in 1997, was a one-shot story about fox spirits; his final version, which debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999, quickly became the most popular ninja manga in the world. The series would also spawn multiple anime series, movies, novels, video games and more. Having concluded the series in late 2014, Masashi Kishimoto has kept himself busy this year with the side story Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring and writing the story for the latest Naruto movie, Boruto: Naruto the Movie, both of which will focus on the title character's son, Boruto.
